How it works
Step-by-step instructions
- Format the script. Put narration on plain lines and dialogue after a speaker name and colon. Keep pause markers on their own lines so they are not counted as spoken characters.
- Set the speaking rate. Choose 180, 220 or 260 or type a custom rate. Test the estimate against a short recording of your own voice if precise timing matters.
- Choose the target duration. Pick 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds or 3 minutes. The target controls how the tokens are grouped, not the length of the original script.
- Check the segment table. Review start and end times, characters, duration and pauses. Look for an oversized segment and decide whether the line should be rewritten, split or moved.
- Export the production files. Copy all segments, copy one segment, download SRT or download the cue sheet. The files are created in the browser and nothing is uploaded to a caption service.
