Decision Wheel: Spin to Decide Anything (Lunch, Weekend, Tonight and More)
Stuck between options? Use the free Decision Wheel in your browser: add 2–12 choices, press GO, and get a truly random result. Includes ready-made presets for lunch, weekend plans and tonight. No sign-up needed.
1. Small Decisions Waste More Time Than You Think
What to eat for lunch. Where to go this weekend. Which movie to watch tonight. Individually each choice takes minutes; together they drain your energy before the decisions that actually matter. A decision wheel turns these into a one-second, low-stakes game.
Psychologists call this decision fatigue. Setting a rule — spin the wheel and accept the outcome — removes the back-and-forth completely, and it is surprisingly easy to respect once the wheel has spoken.
2. How to Use the Decision Wheel
You can start from a preset or build your own list of options. Both take seconds:
- Open the Decision Wheel. Under Quick Presets you will find ready lists: What to eat for lunch, Weekend activities and What to do tonight.
- Or click the text box, type your own option and press Add. Keep adding until you have all the choices you are weighing.
- Use the Edit, Delete and Reset actions to fine-tune the list. Deleting an option you secretly disliked is a good sign — you probably had a favorite all along.
- Press GO in the center (or the Spin button) and watch the animation. The wheel stops on a random result and shows it under Result.
3. When to Use a Wheel Instead of Weighing Options
The wheel shines for decisions where the downside is tiny and reversible. Save your real thinking for high-stakes choices like money, health or careers. Some classic uses:
- Lunch, dinner or takeout decisions between equally good options.
- Weekend plans with friends when no one has a strong preference.
- Picking a movie, game or show for the evening.
- Settling group disagreements fairly: the wheel is neutral, so nobody feels overruled.
A useful trick: if the result disappoints you, ignore it and pick your real favorite. The wheel did its job — it revealed your preference faster than any debate.
4. FAQ
Is the result really random?
Yes. The chosen option is selected with a fair random process and then the wheel animates to it, so the animation is cosmetic — the outcome is not rigged and does not depend on where you click.
How many options can the wheel hold?
Between 2 and 12. The minimum of 2 keeps it a real choice, and the maximum of 12 keeps every slice large enough to read and tap comfortably, especially on a phone.
Can I edit the preset lists?
Yes. Load a preset, then use Add, Edit and Delete on individual items, or Reset to clear everything and start from scratch. Your custom list is what gets spun.
