Scan any text for emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, card numbers, API keys and ID numbers, then mask them before you post or share.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no account, no upload, no ads. Your text never leaves this page.
Detection is based on common formats and may miss unusual cases, so review matches manually before sharing. Never post real card numbers, credentials or ID documents anywhere.
A privacy preflight is a fast scan you run on text before you publish, send or screenshot it, so personal data does not leak by accident. This free checker pastes in any draft, log, message or document and finds six common leak types in one pass: email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, credit card numbers, API keys and secrets, and national ID numbers such as Social Security numbers. Every match is shown with context, and one click masks it with full redaction or a partial mask that keeps a readable hint. Everything runs locally in your browser with no account, no ads and no uploads, so the text you check never leaves your device.
Privacy Preflight is a free browser tool that scans text for six types of personal data (emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, credit card numbers, API keys and national ID numbers) and masks them with full or partial redaction, 100% locally on your device.

What is a privacy preflight check?
A privacy preflight check scans text for personal data before you publish or send it; Privacy Preflight detects emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, credit card numbers, API keys and national ID numbers in a single pass and masks them so nothing sensitive leaks.
How do I remove personal information from text before posting?
Paste the text, click Scan, choose full or partial masking per data type, then copy the cleaned version; the whole process runs locally, so the original text is never uploaded to a server.
Can this tool detect credit card numbers?
Yes, it detects 13 to 19 digit card numbers and validates them with the Luhn check, for example 4111 1111 1111 1111, and masks them to a value such as **** 1111 by default.
How do I mask an email address before sharing a post or screenshot?
Use Partial keep, which hides the local part and keeps the domain, turning [email protected] into j***@gmail.com so the address can no longer be copied or harvested.
Is my pasted text uploaded anywhere?
No. Privacy Preflight runs entirely in your browser: scanning and masking happen locally with JavaScript, no account is required, and nothing you paste is ever sent to a server.
